A1`� OR�INANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1983, BY
ORDINANCE NO. 18-82 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDI-
TIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY" , AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section l. WHEREAS , by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance
for the year 1983 , Ordinance No. 18-82 appropriating revenue
for the operation of the municipal government for the year 1983,
sufficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality
to conduct the indispensable functions of the government of
said City in that appropriations were not sufficient for the
Special Assessment Fund.
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose
of maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional
sum in the amount of $120 , 000 for use in the following fund:
401 Special Assessment Fund
437. 00 Street Improvements $120 ,000
Section 3 . All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordin-
ance is hereby declared to be for the support of the municipal
government and its existing public institutions and it shall be
in full force and effect after its passage and publication.
