AN ORDIrIAIvCE AA•IENDING CHAPTER 30, ARTICLE II OF ORDINANCE NO. 715,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAT_{OTA.
I . That Article II , Chapter 30 of Ordinance No. 715 be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows, to- wit:
Section 30-38 Platting Jurisdiction
From and after the time when the Brookings City
Commission shall have adopted a comprehensive plan
which includes at least a major street plan or shall
have progressed in its comprehensive planning to the
stage of making and adoption of a major street plan,
and shall have filed a certified copy of such major
street plan in the� office of the register of deeds of
the county in which the municipality is located, no
plat of a subdivision of land lying within the
municipality, or ef land within three miles of its
corporate limits and not located in any other
municipality, shall be filed or recorded until it
shall have been submitted to and a report and
recommendations thereon made by the planning and
zoning commission to the City Commission and the
Commission has approved the plat. The commission
shall make its recommendation to the council
within sixty days of submission.
Any subdivision of land containing two or more lots,
� no matter how described, shall be platted or replatted,
and must be submitted to the planning commission for
their consideration and recommendation to the Commis-
sion for approval or rejection. Any plat submitted
shall contain the name and address of a person to whom
notice of hearing may be sent; and no plat shall be
acted upon by the Commission without affording a
hearing thereon, notice of the time and place of
which shall be sent by mail to said address not less
than five days before the date fixed therefor.
II. That any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
