ORDINANCE N0. 5-83
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH llAKOTA,
AMENDING SECTIONS 2-22 and 2-23 OF ORDINANCE 715 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable to provide for annual
adjustments to the salaries of the Mayor and Commissioners of
the City of Brookings, without annual amendments to Sections
2-22 and 2-23 of Ordinance No. 715 of the revised Ordinances of
Brookings, South Dakota;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT THE FOREGOING SECTIONS BE
AND THE SAME ARE HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS, to-wit:
I . Section 2-22 . Salar of Ma�or.
The annual salary o t e Mayor shall be set by resolution
of the City Commission in a regular meeting, as defined in
Section 2-17 of this Code, in September of each year, said
annual salary to be paid in equal monthly installments.
Section 2-23. Salary of Commissioners.
The annual salary �- eac City Commissioner shall be set by
the resolution of the City Commission in a regular meeting,
as defined in Section 2-17 of this Code, in September of
each year, said annual salary to be paid in equal monthly
installments.
II . That any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
