ORDINANCE N0. 13-84
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 34-266 . 1 CONCERNING
RESTRICTED PARKING IN DOWNTOWN SHOPPING AREA AND MEDARY AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the governing body of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota, that Section 34-266 . 1 of the revised
Ordinances of Brookings, South Dakota, be amended to read as
follows, to-wit :
Section 34-266 . 1. Parking Restrictions in Downtown
opping Area and Portions of Medary Avenue.
It shall be unlawful for the driver or any owner of any
motor vehicle, trailer or implement to park or leave
standing or permit to be parked or left standing, any motor
vehicle, trailer or implement on Main Avenue between the
railroad tracks and Sixth Street and on Third, Fourth,
Fifth and Sixth Streets from Third to Fifth Avenues, Third
Avenue from Third to Sixth Street and on Fifth Avenue from
Front Street to Sixth Street, and on Medary Avenue from
Eighth Street to Ninth Street for more than two (2) con-
secutive hours between the hours of 8 : 00 o' clock A.M. and
5 : 30 o' clock P.M. on Mondays through Saturdays .
Tickets for violation of this action shall be the respon-
sibility of the registered owner of the vehicles.
