ORDINANCE N0. 12-84
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 29-56 through 29-60
PERTAINING TO THE LEAVE PROGRAM AND PROVIDING FOR THE
ADOPTION OF A PERSONNEL AND POLICIES PRACTICES MANUAL BY
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY
OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
Section 1. That Sections 29-56 through 29-60 per-
taining to the leave program be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 2. That a new Article shall be adopted per-
taining to personnel policies and practices manual which
shall read as follows, to-wit:
Article IV. Personnel Policies and Practices.
Section 29-56 . Personnel policies and practices
manual to be adopted by City Commission.
The City Commission of the City of Brookings shall
adopt by resolution and amend from time to time by
resolution a personnel policies and practices manual
which shall setforth the policies of the City of
Brookings regarding vacations, holidays, leave,
employee benefits, employment rights and grievance pro-
cedures and other relevant matters pertaining to
employees rights and benefits in the City of Brookings.
An original plus two copies of said personnel
policies and practices manual shall be maintained in
the office of the City Finance Officer and shall be
made available to employees upon request.
