AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-16 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF BROOKIIIGS , SOUTH DAKOTA, PERTAINING TO THE
BROOKINGS ELECTRIC CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT SECTION 13-16 BE AND THE SAME IS
HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS , to-wit:
I. Section 13-16 . Adopted.
There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose
of prescribing regulations governing the conditions and
hazards arizing from the use of electricity for light,
heat, power and other purposes, that certain code known
as the 1984 National Electric Code, standard of the
National Board of Fire Underwriters for electrical wiring
and apparatus, as recommended by the National Fire Pro-
tection Association, and the whole thereof, save and ex-
cept such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified,
or amended and of which code not less than three (3) copies
have been made, and now are filed in the office of the
Finance Officer, and the same is hereby adopted and
incorporated as fully as if set forth at length herein,
and the provisions of this code shall be controlling
within the limits of the City.
II. That any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.

AN ORDINANCE PERTAIPdING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE 1984 NATIONAL
ELECTRIC CODE:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That Ordinance No. 2-84 , being an
Ordinance that amends the revised Ordinance of the City of
Brookings to include the 1984 National Electric Code, was duly
adopted by the City Commission of the City of Brookings on the
17th day of January, 1984 .
