ORDINANCE N0. 24-85
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 18 OF THE
REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO
THE JOINT MUNICIPAL-COUNTY HOSPITAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 18 OF THE
REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BE AND THE SAME IS
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 18-23 . Board Officers .
The Board of Trustees created by this Article shall annually
at their first regular meeting in May, elect from their number a
chairman and secretary, who shall hold their offices respectively
for one (1) year and until their successors have been appointed.
Section 18-25. Duties of Secretary.
The Secretary of the Board of Trustees shall keep a record
of the acts and proceedings of the Board.
Section 18-26. General Authority.
The Board of Trustees shall have power and authority to
superintend, manage and control such public hospital and shall
have power and authority to incur obligations and liabilities for
the operation of the hospital .
Section 18-27 . Budget , hospital fund. Repealed.
Section 18-28 . Collection of Funds .
All funds and revenues derived from the operation of such
hospital shall be collected by the hospital administrator and a
record of all such funds and revenues shall be submitted to the
City Finance office.
Section 18-29. Payment of Warrants .
All expenses for operation of the hospital shall be approved
by the Board of Trustees and warrants for payment of such expenses
shall be drawn on the hospital fund.
Any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
