AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1985 BY ORDINANCE NO.
18-84 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF THE CITY", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas, by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance
for the year 1985, Ordinance No. 18-84 appropriating revenue for
the operation of the municipal government for the year 1985 ,
sufficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to
conduct the indispensable functions of the government of said City

Section 2. There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and operating the City of Brookings an additional sum
in the amount of $55 ,000 for use in the following fund:

439.00 Other Capital (S.S. Construction) $55 ,000
Section 3. The Finance Officer is hereby authorized to trans-
fer the necessary funds from the General Fund to the Storm Drain-
age Fund.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordin-
ance is declared to be for the support of the municipal government
and its existing public institutions and it shall be in full force
and effect after its passage and publication.
