AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE• SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MAUE FOR THE YEAR 1986 BY ORDINANCE NO.
18-85 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR
THE OPERATION OF THE CITY" , AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS � SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. Whereas, by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance
for the year 1986, Ordinance No. 18-85 appropriating revenue for
the operation of the municipal government for the year 1986� suf-
ficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to
conduct the indispensable functions of the government of said
C i ty.
Section 2 . There is hereby appropriated for the purpose of
maintaining and operating the City of Brookings additional sums
for the following funds :
101 General Fund
415.3 Finance Office $ 16,500
419 .5 Advertising (Conventions) 11 ,000
451.0 Recreation 15,000
465.1 Industrial Development 171 �000
300 Debt Service Funds
307 G.O. Refund Hospital
and N. Home Bond $ 15,000 �
Section 3. All ordinances or E�arts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. An emergency is hereby declared and this ordin-
ance is declared to be for the support of the municipal government
and its existing public institutions and it shall be in full force
and effect after its passage and publication.
