AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOK-
INGS , SOUTH DAKOTA:
I . That Article III, Section 14-45 , of the Revised Ordinances
of Brookings, South Dakota� be and the same is hereby
amended as follows, to-wit:
Section 14-45 Fire Prevention Code.
There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of
prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to
life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code
known as the "Fire Prevention Code" recommended by the
National Fire Protection Association, being particularly the
1982 edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except
such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or
amended, of which code one copy has been and now is filed in
the office of the City Finance Officer and the same is
hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at
length herein, and the provision shall be controlling within
the limits of the City.
II. Any and all Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
