AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-24 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO THE BOARD OF HEALTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS
SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT SECTION 17-24 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 17-24 . Powers Generally.
The Board of Health shall exercise a general super-
vision over the health of the city with full powers to
take all steps and all measures necessary to promote the
cleanliness and healthfulness thereof ; to prevent and
arrest the spread of any contagious or infectious diseases,
harmful environmental conditions; and to quarantine any
person or evacuate any area contaminated by such condition
or disease. The Board of Health shall have and exercise
a general supervision over the sanitary conditions of
the city.
Any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
