ORDINANCE N0 . 8-88
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THREE (3) YEAR TERMS FOR CITY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS .
Be it ordained by the governing body of the City of
Brookings, South Dakota , that the terms of City Commissioners
and Mayor for the City of Brookings shall be three (3) year
terms . As each of the existing five (5) year terms expire, com-
mencing with terms expiring in the year 1988 , the vacancy to be
filled shall be a three (3) year term.
FIRST READING: February 23 , 1988
SECOND READING: Marcn 1 , 1988
