Ordinance No. 5-88
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING NIGHT PARKING DURING WINTER
WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS AND WHICH IS HEREBY
DECLARED TO BE NECESSARY FOR THE IMMEDIATE PUBLIC SAFETY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA, to-wit :
I .
Sec . 34-271 - NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED DURING WINTER
WEATHER CONDITIONS
It shall be unlawful for the driver or owner of any motor
vehicle, trailer or implement to park or leave standing or per-
mit to be parked or left standing any motor vehicle, trailer or
implement on any street , avenue, or alley in the City of
Brookings, except the streets mentioned in 34-267, when the city
commission or a designated city commissioner shall declare that
due to winter weather conditions parking on said streets shall
be prohibited between the hours of 11 :00 P.M. and 7 :00 A.M.
Notice of said prohibited night parking and the duration of said
prohibited parking shall be given to the public by means of
radio and newspaper .
II .
All ordinances in conflict here�aith are hereby repealed.
