Ordinance No. 4-88
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 715 , Section 25 -72 AND
PERTAINING TO SALE OF "CHANCES".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA as follows, to-wit :
I .
Sec . 25-72 . Sale of "chances" or lottery tickets, etc.
restricted .
No person shall sell or vend or have in possession any lot-
tery tickets or any writing, card , paper or documents in the
nature of any bet or wager or chance to share in the distribu-
tion of any prize or prizes except that the aforesaid provisions
shall not apply to a lottery owned and operated by the State of
South Dakota or a lottery or bingo game conducted in accordance
with the provisions of SDCL 22-25-25 .
II .
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
