ORDINANCE NO. 40-91
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A DATE OF APPOINTMENT FOR MEMBERS OF
THE JOINT MUNICIPAL-COUNTY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.
BE IT ORDAINED By the governing body of the City of Brookings,
South Dakota, as follows, to-wit:
I.
Section 19-3. Terms.
The members of the Housing and Redevelopment Commission shall be
initially appointed for terms of one (1) , two (2) , three (3) , four (4)
and five (5) years respectively; provided, at the first meeting of
January of each year, one member shall be appointed, except, in the
event a vacancy occurs on a date other than the first Monday of the
year, then the vacancy may be filled by appointment for a term not
exceeding five (5) years, which term shall expire on the first Monday
of January. After the initial appointment of inembers to the
Commission, all commissioners shall be appointed for terms not
exceeding five (5) years.
II.
Al1 ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
