ORDINANCE NO. 36-91
AN ORDINANCE REVISING CHAPTER 10 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BROOKINGS AND PERTAINING TO LIFE SAFETY CODES IN THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
ARTICLE IV. LIFE SAFETY CODE
Section 10-61. Adoption of Life Safety Code. -
There is hereby adopted by the City of Brookings, for the purpose
of prescribing regulations governing the construction, protection and
occupancy features of buildings necessary to minimize danger to life
from fire, smoke, fumes, or panic, that certain code known as the Life
Safety Code recommended by the National Fire Protection Association,
Inc. , being particularly the 1991 Edition thereof, save and except
such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, of
which code not less than one (1) copy has been and is now filed in the
office of the city finance officer, City of Brookings, and the same is
hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length
herein, and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the
provisions shall be controlling within the limits of the City of
Brookings.
II.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
