ORDINANCE NO. 34-91
AN ORDINANCE REVISING SECTION 2-57 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF BROOKINGS AND PERTAINING TO THE ACQUISITION OF SUPPLIES
NEEDED BY THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWED, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 2-57. Supplies for utilities, other.
Supplies needed by the city, involving a cost or expenditure not
exceeding the amount for which competitive bidding is required may be
made by the foreman, manager or superintendent of any department of
the city after obtaining the approval of the commissioner in charge of
such department; provided such purchases are routine and do not
involve a change in policy, but all claims therefore shall be approved
by the city commission as provided by law; provided, however, supplies
needed for the operation of any utility under the control of the
utility board or supplies required by the hospital board of trustees
shall be acquired by such utility board or its designee or by the
hospital board of trustees.
II.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
