ORDINANCE NO. 22-91
AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE DATE OF APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE
UTILITY BOARD OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 35-52. Appointment of inembers.
The mayor shall appoint all members of the utility board, which
appointments shall be made at the first regular meeting of the city
commission in January and shall be approved and confirmed by the city
commission.
Section 35-53. Terms of inembers.
The members of the utility board shall be appointed in such
manner that one (1) member shall be appointed to hold office until the
first regular meeting of the city commission in January after his
appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified, and
one (1) to hold office for one (1) year, one (1) to hold office for
two (2) years, one (1) to hold office for three (3) years and one (1)
to hold office for four (4) years after the first regular meeting of
the city commission in January after his appointment and until his
successor is appointed and qualified and at the first regular meeting
of the city commission in January of each year one (1) member shall be
appointed for a term of five (5) years to succeed the retiring member.
II.
All Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
