ORDINANCE NO. 18-91
AN ORDINANCE REVISING ORDINANCE SECTION 17-27 AND PERTAINING TO
THE DATE OF APPOINTMENT OF THE CITY HEALTH OFFICER OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 17-27. City health officer.
At the first meeting of the city commission in January of each
year, the city commission shall appoint a health officer, who shall be
a physician in good standing and in active practice in the city, who
shall be executive officer of the board of health. The health officer
shall serve for one year or until a successor shall have been appointed
and qualified. The health officer shall be bonded by the city in such
amount as the city commission may fix for faithful performance of
duties. The health officer shall be entitled to receive compensation
as fixed by the city commission for services rendered.
II.
All Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
