AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE DATE OF ORGANIZATION OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 2-19. Organization.
At the first regular meeting in January of each year, the city
commission shall designate by a majority vote, one member who shall be
known as the police and fire commissioner, one who shall be known as
the commissioner of streets and public property, one who shall be
known as waterworks and sewerage commissioner, and one who shall be
known as the commissioner of finance and revenue, whose duties shall
be provided by state statute. The waterworks and sewerage
commissioner shall act as liaison with the utility board whose
management authority is defined in SDCL Chapter 9-29 .
II.
All Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
