ORDINANCE NO. 2-91
AN ORDINANCE REVISING ORDINANCE NO. 715, SECTION 33-73 AND
PERTAINING TO REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE FROM SIDEWALKS BY THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Sec. 33-83 City May Remove.
If the owner or persons in possession or in charge of any
said lots, parcels, or plots of ground shall fail or refuse to
remove the snow or ice from such sidewalk within twelve (12)
hours of the falling of said snow or the forming of said ice, the
city may remove or cause to be removed said snow or ice, if
practicable and upon receipt of a Complaint indicating the
failure of an owner or person in possession to remove said snow
and ice. The City may assess the cost of snow and ice removal
against the fronting or abutting property in accordinance with
the provisions of this Article.
II.
All ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
