AN ORDIHAHCE REVISIHG ORDINAHCE N0. 2-90 AHD PERTAINIHG TO THE
COMMITTEE ON HUMAN RIGHTS IH THE CITY OF BROOKIHGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAIHED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF' THE CITY OF BROOKIHGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 2-71. Co�aosition.
The Committee on Human Rights shall consist of ten (10) membere
eelected by the City Commission. The City Commission ehall give due
regard to representation of minority groups on the Committee. One
member of the Committee shall be a student enrolled in a
post-secondary educational institution.
Section 2-72. Ter� of Office. Date of Aopoint�ent. Co�Denaation.
Al1 members of the Committee on Human Righta shall serve for a
term of three (3) years except the student member Nho shall serve a
one tl ) year term. Any member rhose term expires may be reappointed.
Members of the committee shall be appointed by the Mayor at the
first regular meeting in January of each year, and the student member
of the Committee shall be appointed the first meeting of May. All
members of the Committee on Human Rights shall serve aithout
compensation.
II.
Any and all ordinances in conflict hereMith are hereby repesled.
