AH ORDINAHCE REVISIHG THE LEHGTH OF TERMS OF OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
AND THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF BROOKIHGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAIHED BY THE GOVERHING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKIHGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Sec. 2-25 Terms of Mavor and Commissioners.
The term of office of the Mayor and Commissioners shall be as
follows:
(a) The term of the office of Mayor following the term which
expires in 1993, shall be three (3) years, with the term expiring in
1996, and thereafter the term of office of the Mayor shall be for a
term of f ive (5) years.
(b) The term of the office of one ( 1 ) commissioner folloring the
term which expires in 1994 shall be three (3) years with the term �
expiring in 1997 and thereafter the term of office of this
commissioner position shall be for a term of five (5) years.
(c) The term of the office of one (1 ) commissioner folloMing the
term which expires in 1994 shall be four (4) years rrith the term
expiring in 1998 and thereafter the term of office of this
commissioner position shall be for a term of five (5) years.
(d) The term of the office of one (1 ) commissioner folloMing the
term which expires in 1995 shall be four (4) years with the term
expiring in 1999 and thereafter the term of office of this
commissioner position shall be for a term of five (5) years.
(e) The term of the office of one (1 ) commissioner follor►ing the
term which expires in 1995 shall be five (5) yesrs vrith the term
expiring in 2000 and thereafter the term of office of this
commissioner position shall be for a term of five (5) years.
II.
Any and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
