AH ORDINAHCE AMEHDIHG SECTIOH 25-56 OF THE REVISED ORDIHAHCES OF
THE CITY OF BROOKINGS AND PERTAIHIHG TO DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AHD
EXCEPTIOHS THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERHIHG BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKIHGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 25-56. Discharging �eapon, Exceptione.
a. Ho pereon shall willfully diecharge any type of firearm, sir
gun, pellet or BB gun or any other gun in the City Limits of
the City of Brookings.
b. Exception - ( 1 ) the foregoing prohibitions shall not apply
to law enforcement officers in the performance of their
duties; (2) the City Animal Control officers may use a
pneumatic povrered pellet pistol or rifle to eliminate Mild
birds or wild animals phich pose a health or safety threat;
(3) firearms, air guns, pellet or BB guns may be used in
indoor target ranges where the use thereof does not endanger
any person; (4) special events or demonstrations Mith prior
approval of City Commission.
II.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
