AH ORDIHANCE ESTABLISHING A LI9UOR STORE ADVISORY BOARD.
BE IT ORDAIHED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS:
I.
There is hereby created in and for the City a Liquor Store
Advisory Board.
II.
Comoosition
The Liquor Store Advisory Bosrd shall consist of five (5)
members, who must be resident of the City, said members to be
appointed by the Mayor/Commissioner and approved by the City
Commission.
III.
Terms
The terms of the Liquor Store Advisory Board ahall be three (3)
years, provided that the terms of the initial appointees shall be one
ti ) year, two (2) years and three (3) years, seid terms to coincide as
to terminate on the first day of January of each year.
IV.
Pur�oses
The purposes of the Liquor Store Advisory Board is to advise and
counsel the Mayor/Commissioner-in-Charge and Manager of the Liquor
Store regarding the operations and functions of the Municipal Liquor
Store.
V.
Vecancies
The term of any vacancy on the Liquor Store Advisory Board shall
not extend beyond a period of three (3) years and any appointment
shall be made at the first regular meeting in January of each year;
except that in the event a vacancy occurs on a date other than the
first Monday of the year, then the vacancy may be filled by
appointment for a term not exceeding three (3) years which shall
expire on the first Monday of January.
VI.
Election of Offiaers
The Board shall annually elect from its oMn membership a
Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary.
VII.
Meetinas
The Board shall meet at such times and places as mey be
determined by the Board. Three members in attendance shall constitute
a quorum for the conduct of business.

VIII.
Minutes or Recommendations
The Board shall keep Minutes of its meetings and submit
recommendations to the Mayor/Commissioner-in-charge of the Municipal
Liquor Store.
