GROUHD WATER IM THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERHING BODY OF THE CITY BROOKIHGS, SOUTH
DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT: �

Sec. 35-19. Discharqe of Surface Water and Ground Water.
(a) Ho person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any
storm water, surface water, roof runoff, subaurface drainage, cooling
water, ground water or untreated industrial process waters to any
sanitary aewer. At no time shall the above mentioned rrater be alloped
to be pumped or drained to any sanitary sewer.
(b) Ho person shall make connections of roof downspouts,
exterior foundation drains, areaway drains, or other sources or
surface runoff or groundwater to a building drain which inturn ie
connected directly or indirectly to a public sanitary seMer.

(c) If sump pumps are required for floor drains only, the sump
pump must be properly trapped and connected directly to the aanitary
sewer.
(d) Where there is a sump located for the purpose of drainage of
surface or subsurface Mater, all new residential or commercial
construction shall have a pump discharge installed and connected to a
drainage facility other than the senitary serrer.
(e) Storm water and all other unpolluted drainage shall be
discharged to auch se�rers se are specifically designated ae storm
sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the City.
(f) A violation of this Ordinance shall constitute a petty
offense; any person convicted of violation of this Ordinance shall be
.�ub�ect to a fine not in excess of Two Hundred (5200. 00) Dollars.
Each day in violation shall conatitute a aeparate offense.
II.
Al1 ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
