AH ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 930 OF' THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA AHD PERTAINING TO APPOINTMENT TO THE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT.

I.
. 1 A Hoard of Ad3ustment is T�ereDy established; the membership
of r�hich shall be appainted by the City Commisioners.
. 2 The Boerd of Ad�ustment shall consist of five t5) members.
The initial members shall be appointed for terms of one (1), tMo (2)
and three (3) years respectively. Their successors shall be appointed
upon the expiration of their respective terms to serve three (3)
yeara. Members of the Board of Ad�ustment must either be residents of
the City of Brookings or residents residing pithin the �oint
�urisdiction area surrounding the City. The members of the Board
shall be removable for cause by the Commissioners upon Mritten charges
and after public hearing. A vacancy ehall be filled by the
Commiasioners for the unexpired term of any member Mho resigns, dies
or is removed. The Board shall elect a chairman from its members, and
a secretary, rho may, but need not, be a member of the Board.
II.
This amendement to the Ordiannce shall be effective as of the let
day of May, 1993.
