AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-24 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS
BE IT ORDAINED THAT ORDINANCE SECTION 2-24 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS SHALL BE AMENDED TO READ AS
FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
Section 2-24 Rules of Order.
Roberts Rules or Order, Newly Revised, copyright 1970, published by Scott Forsman and
Company shall govern the City Commission in its deliberation in cases not otherwise provided for
by statute, ordinance, rule or regulation.
The Commission may elect to reconsider and/or rescind any action taken by the
Commission on the same date that said action is taken or at the next regularly scheduled City
Commission Meeting. A motion to reconsider or rescind may only be made by a Commissioner
who voted with the prevailing side.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
