ORDINANCE NO. 26-96
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LICENSE FEE PROCEDURE AND
ESTABLISHING LICENSE AND PERMIT FEES IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH
DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Sec. 3-42. Fees.
Upon filing an original application for a license to advertise and conduct a going-out-of-
business sale, the applicant shall pay to the city finance of�icer such fee as may be determined by
resolution or ordinance of the city commission. If any application is disapproved, such payment
shall be forfeited to the city as and for the cost of investigating the statements contained in such
application.

Sec. 22-28. Electricians.
Original License .......................................................$ 50.00
Each Annual Renewal...............................................$ 25.00
Sec. 22-29. Going-out-of-Business Sales.
Initial License...........................................................$100.00
Thirty(3 0)Day Renewal License..............................$100.00
Sec. 22-30. Housemovers.
Peryear....................................................................$ 50.00
Sec. 22-31. Pawnbrokers.
Peryear....................................................................$ 50.00
Sec. 22-32. Plumbing contractor.
Original License .......................................................$ 50.00
Each Annual Renewal...............................................$ 25.00
Sec. 22-33. Transient Merchants.
Per month or part thereof..........................................$ 30.00
Sec. 22-34. Vehicles for Hire.
(a) For the first taxicab, or other vehicle for hire
Peryear.........................................................$ 25.00
(b) For each additional vehicle operated by the same person
Peryear.........................................................$ 15.00
Sec. 22-35. Vehicle for Hire Drivers.
Peryear.....................................................................$ 15.00
III.
All Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
