ORDINANCE NO. 19-96
AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE MANNER OF USE OF DIAGONAL
PARKING SPACES IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Sec. 34-239. Manner of use of diagonal parking spaces.
The driver of any vehicle intending to park in a diagonal parking space shall only park in a
diagonal parking space which is located to the right of the right-hand lane upon which the driver
is proceeding.
The driver of a vehicle intending to leave a diagonal parking space shall back the vehicle
only within the right-hand lane nearest the diagonal parking space and shall proceed only in the
right-hand lane of traffic.
II.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
