Present: Rod Schaefer, Teri Ronning, Lee Ann Pierce, Jason Wosje, Jeff Holm; Jeff Weldon,
Brookings City Manager; Matt Chapman, Swiftel Center Director of Food&Beverage, Tom Richter,
Swiftel Center Executive Director,
Agenda Discussions:
Rod Schaefer called the meeting to order.
The May 25, 2017 minutes were approved.
Tom presented the 2nd Quarter financials, events and attendance.
Kristina provided a hand out with upcoming events for August and September which include:
Alan Jackson Concert, Wing & Brew Fest, Junk Jam, United Way Packaging, BHS Cheer &
Dance, Wedding Receptions and various meetings.
Matt reported that the Dairy Fest went well. The Got Milk Gala with 5 courses was a huge
success. Uncle Sam Jam concession sales were the largest over all other years. Currently Matt
is working on being a TAM instructor.
Tom reported for Jeremy the new POS system for the concession stands have been installed.
Also, the install of the new Daktronics video board in the arena will be in September of 2017.
Tom reported that the City and County are developing a list for the swap of the County Resource
Center. We received a nice letter from the Governor which Tom passed around for everyone to
read. Our Christmas show this year will be Midtown Men Holiday Hits on December 14th. 4H
Achievement Days went well with the new set up. Jackie Anderson’s last day was June 30th and
Andrea Hogie is back.
Rod Schaffer adjourned the meeting.
