Jason Wosje, Alan Gregg, Teri Ronning, Jennifer Johnson, Lee Ann Pierce; Tom Coughlin; Jeff
Weldon; Tom Richter, Swiftel Center Executive Director; Jeremy Linstad, Swiftel Center Associate Executive
Director; Matt Chapman, Swiftel Center Director of Food and Beverage/Chef; Kristina Lankow, Swiftel Center
Sales and Marketing Manager; Jackie Anderson, Swiftel Center Business Manager.
Agenda Discussions:
Teri Ronning, Vice Chairperson, called the meeting to order.
The January 28, 2016 minutes were approved.
January 2016 financials were presented. February and March financials are in progress.
Tom passed out the 2015 Annual Report. Items that were noted in the report were 2015 was a record
year for attendance and also a record year for revenues. Also noted it was the first time we went over
one million dollars in food and beverage sales.
Matt Chapman outlined successes for recent concerts and events. Hairball concert in January had the
highest per cap ever. The Whitetails banquet had over 400 people attending this year. The Pheasants
Forever Banquet had one of their largest attendance ever and was the first time ever held at the Swiftel
Center. The State 8 Ball tournament food and beverage numbers were less than expected was probably
due to the unseasonably nice weather.
Matt Chapman received the 2016 Generation Next Award. The award reception will be in Long Beach,
California on August 25th.
Jeremy updated the projects in progress. Digital displays which would be LED TVs. Part of these will
be funded through a Vision Brookings Grant. Telescopic risers, Hoop building and maintenance
projects.
Tom has been doing presentations to area business such as Rotary Club, BMU, Kiawanis – Hendricks,
MN and Metabank. These presentations update businesses on Swiftel Center activities.
The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting May 26th at 4:00pm.
