Meeting Minutes – October 27, 2009
City Hall
Present: Victoria Blatchford, Rob Peterson, Catherine Grandorff, Lynn Darnall, Didem Koroglu, Jerry Miller, and
Bridgit Burghardt.
•Chairperson Blatchford called the meeting to order at 1:40
• Voting Step Show: Grandorff motioned $1,000 out of student fund, Darnall seconded. Discussion: will they have the
event if they receive less funding? Yes, they will cut back. Motion carries.
• Voting Alpha Gamma Rho Steer and Heifer Show: Darnall motioned $500 out of Tournament/Athletic Fund,
Koroglu seconded. Motion carries.
• Voting: Swiftel Thunder Indoor Go Kart Racing: Grandorff motioned $1,500 out of the Tournament/Athletic Fund,
Miller seconded. Motion carries.
• Voting: SDSU Pow Wow: Darnall motioned $1,000 out of student funds, Koroglu seconded. Discussion: Question
into if there is another fund that would be appropriate? Tournament fund really does not fit. This is the 20th anniversary.
Motion carries.
• Voting: Dairy Club Conference: Application dies for lack of motion, no funding.
• Voting: 8-ball Pool Tournament: Peterson motioned $1,500 out of the Tournament/Athletic Fund, Miller seconded.
Recommend they visit with the CVB for the hosting fee. Discussion: do they still get the $1,500 if the CVB does not
fund the hosting fee? Yes. Motion carries.
• Voting: NPRA Bull Riding: Peterson motioned $500 out of students and $1,500 out of tournament/Athletic Fund,
Grandorff seconded. Motion carries.
• Darnall motioned to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 1:46
