City of Brookings
A special meeting of the Municipal Utilities Board was held at 7:30 a.m. on
Monday, February 29, 2016, via teleconference with the following members present:
Carruthers, Hansen, Harvey, Pitts and President Peterson.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion was made by Pitts, seconded by Carruthers to adjourn to an executive
session for the purpose of reviewing communication from legal counsel about contractual
matters.
The Board reconvened in open session.
AMENDMENT TO LONG TERM DEFACTO SPECTRUM LEASING AGREEMENT
Motion was made by Harvey, seconded by Hansen to approve the First
Amendment to the Long Term DeFacto Spectrum Leasing Agreement with Nextel West
Corporation with a provision that Paragraph 2 be deleted if Brookings Municipal Utilities
meets the deadline for the FCC construction benchmark that is necessary to make LTE
service available in the licensed area. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned.
