Richter, Swiftel Center Executive Director; Jenny Hammrich, Swiftel Center Director of Sales & Marketing;
Andrea Hogie, Swiftel Center Director of Finance.
Agenda Discussions:
Rob called the meeting to order. The May 31, 2012 and July 26, 2012 minutes were approved.
July and August financials were presented.
Jenny presented the events for October & November 2012. Some events include: Pool Tournament,
Hairball, Jehovah Witness, It’s a Girl Thing, Bridal Show, PRCA Rodeo, Think Pink Campaign, Church
Basement Ladies, Supercross, Chamber Ag Banquet, Wedding Receptions, and various meetings.
Tom reported for Scott that the storage addition is completed on the inside with a few things left to
finish on the outside. The City Council approved the Design-Build Procurement Procedures so we can
bid out the fall protection. We are also in the design stages of the main concession remodel.
Tom reported that he just returned from the VenuWorks Managers meetings in Iowa. As an industry the
touring business is low for everyone. The MOU with the City and Hegg Companies was approved at the
Council Meeting.
Jeff expanded on the MOU. Hegg would finance the whole project and the City would lease to own.
They are meeting with developers in October. Hegg would like to start construction in April/May 2013.
He has also met with the County board about acquiring the resource center.
The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting November 29, 2012 at 4:00pm.
