Present:
Rod Schaefer, Rob Peterson, Barb Telkamp, Jason Wosje, Tom Coughlin, Deb Hubers, Teri Ronning,
Don Larson; Jeff Weldon Brookings City Manager; Tom Richter, Swiftel Center Executive Director; Scott
Smith, Swiftel Center Director of Operations; Jenny Hammrich, Swiftel Center Director of Sales & Marketing;
Andrea Hogie, Swiftel Center Director of Finance.
Agenda Discussions:
Tom R. called the meeting to order. The January 26, 2012 minutes were approved.
Rod moved to keep the positions the same. Barb second the motion. The motion passed. Tom
Coughlin remains the Chairperson, Rob Peterson remains the Vice Chairperson, and Barb Telkamp
remains the Secretary.
Tom went through the 2011 Year End Report.
January and February financials were presented.
Jenny presented the events for April & May 2012. Some events include: SDSU Rodeo, Quilt Show,
Wedding Receptions, and Meetings.
Scott reported the storage addition plans are underway and two new copiers have been ordered. We are
also in the process of hiring a new Operations Manager.
Tom reported that this is a challenging year for the touring industry especially for our size building.
Tom attended the SDHSAA meeting in Pierre. He has also been meeting with the County about the
County Resource Center.
The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting May 31, 2012 at 4:00pm.
