Present:
Barb Telkamp, Rob Peterson, Rod Schaefer; Terri Ronning, Tom Coughlin, Don Larson, Tom Richter,
Swiftel Center Executive Director; Jenny Hammrich, Swiftel Center Director of Sales&Marketing; Andrea
Hogie, Swiftel Center Business Manager.
Agenda Discussions:
Didem Koroglu gave the Board a report on the Brookings Branding.
Tom Coughlin called the meeting to order. The November 23, 2010 and February 10, 2011 minutes
were declared approved.
Rob moved to keep the positions the same as Tom Coughlin Chairperson, Rob Peterson Vice
Chairperson, Barb Telkamp Secretary. Terri seconded. Motion carried.
January and February financials were presented.
Jenny presented the events for April and May 2011. Some events include: True Identities, SDSU
Rodeo, Heaven & Hell with 2 Authors, Cage Fighting, Willie Nelson, SDSU Engineering Expo,
Wedding Receptions, Reza, First Bank & Trust, Brookings High School Graduation.
Tom reported for Scott – there was a period of time the end of February that the arena lights were on for
72 hours straight. Scott is working on CIP items like pipe & drape, computers, hallway heaters, and 2
way radios.
Tom presented the Year End Report. A new POS system has been installed in the concessions stand so
we are able to now accept credit cards. We are working on trying to expand the parking lots.
Our contract with VenuWorks is up in July. We are renewing with them for another 5 years pending
approval from the City Council.
Tom Coughlin adjourned the meeting. Next meeting will be May 26, 2011 at 4:00pm.
