Present:
Barb Telkamp, Tom Coughlin, Rob Peterson, Deb Garbers, Alan Gregg; Tom Richter, Swiftel Center
Executive Director; Andrea Hogie, Swiftel Center Business Manager.
Agenda Discussions:
Tom Coughlin called the meeting to order. Deb motioned to approve the minutes from September 30,
2010. Rob seconded. The motion passed.
September and October financials were presented.
3rd Quarter Events, Event Days, Attendance and Economic Impact were presented.
The events for November and December 2010 were presented. Some events include: PRCA Rodeo,
Disney Live, CMT Tour with Miranda Lambert, Weslyan Thanksgiving Festival, Supercross, Mannheim
Steamroller and the Swiftel Center BB Classic.
Scott reported that Tony Becker filled the full time position in the operations department. The arena
lighting project has started. He is working on getting the rest of our capital improvement for 2010
completed.
Tom reported that the City Council will be discussing the policies of the Swiftel Center at the December
14th meeting. The liquor license change may affect some of the short notice events. We will be buying a
wine license in January. The marquee on 22nd Avenue is being built and should be complete by the
middle of December. Our big 10th Anniversary celebration will be January 20, 2011 during the
Brookings Chamber Mixer. We will be unveiling the new paint, banners, and artwork.
Tom Coughlin adjourned the meeting. Next meeting will be determined.
