Present:
Rod Schaefer; Barb Telkamp; Rob Peterson; Tom Richter, Swiftel Center Executive Director; Jenny
Hammrich, Swiftel Center Director of Sales/Marketing; Scott Smith, Swiftel Center Director of Operations.
Agenda Discussions:
Rod called the meeting to order. Barb motioned to approve the minutes from July 31, 2008. Rob
seconded. The motion passed.
July and August financials were presented.
Barb motioned to approve the Swiftel Center Rate Sheet. Rob seconded. The motion passed.
Scott gave an update on the outdoor marquee. The sign will be up and running by the first week in
October.
Tom gave an update on the building expansion. HVS has completed their report and so far it looks
positive. It will be presented to the City council in November.
Jenny presented the board with a copy of the events for October, November and December 2008. Some
events include Festival of Champions, Tech N9ne, SDSU Equestrian, Supercross, Holiday parties, BB
Classic, and Disney Live.
Scott reported the parking lots had been resealed. He is still working on some CIP items before the end
of the year.
Tom reported that we passed the alcohol sting in the beginning of September. We received a 99 out of
100 from the health inspector. He is working on adding a couple more building sponsors. The 2009
budget has been adopted without any cuts. He also gave his disposition for the old catering business.
Tom mentioned to everyone that they are all invited to attend the City Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
on October 30, 2008 here at the Swiftel Center.
Rod adjourned the meeting. Next meeting November 20, 2008 at 4:00pm. A week early due to
Thanksgiving.
