They started their fleet of Honda Civics in 2000 with a slow fill station. A private company developed a fast fill station which was then used by Hillsboro. In 2009, many repairs were required at the fast fill station. The private company decided the expense was too great, so they closed the fast fill station. After that, Hillsboro sold off most of their CNG vehicles which maintained their value. Brandom had no complaints about the performance or maintenance of the vehicles. His number one recommendation was to know who are the other customers for the CNG station and make sure it will be self-sustaining.
