Highlights of the CIP budget for 2011 are as follows: • A shop addition for Forestry that will accommodate the new and larger aerial bucket truck • Nature Park expenditures of approximately $300,000, which includes the $225,000 grant and $75,000 city money, for youth fishing improvements and parking lot access. • $45,000 for additional golf cart paths at EdgeBrook, and $10,000 for drainage and driveway culvert improvements at the entry to EdgeBrook. • An irrigation system for the youth baseball/football fields at West Medary. • Matching funds for a LAWCON grant to replace playground equipment at Lions Park. • New restrooms/concession building at Bob Shelden Field. • $135,000 for various equipment and vehicle replacement and upgrades. • Asphalt for the east parking lot at Larson Ice Center. Included in the five year CIP are Bob Shelden field lighting, 2 additional lighted softball fields, additional youth baseball facilities and the Board agreed discussion should take place soon with the school district as they plan for the next elementary school, as that site would be a logical location for the new fields. Meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Allyn Frerichs Recording Secretary APPROVED___________________ ___________________________________________________ DATE SECRETARY
