of May 11, 2009
Present: Ryan Krogman, Erik Dahl, Keith Rounds, Kaitlin Kwasniewski, September Kirby,
David Eggers, Ann Martin, June Eng and David Lieferman
Reports:
• Staff members updated the Board on the various work projects underway within the
department.
Motion was made by Keith Rounds, seconded by Erik Dahl that the agenda be adopted with
no addition.
The board discussed and reviewed a proposed 5 year CIP for facilities and equipment. An
accelerated schedule on 2009 budget preparation is being followed this year and the Director
will be meeting with the City Manager and Finance Director in mid May to review proposed
budgets.
After lengthy review and discussion the Board made some changes in the current 5 year plan
and then added several new projects; including two additional lighted softball fields, a
concrete floor in the Ice Arena holding barn, irrigation for West Medary youth baseball fields
and delaying any expenditures for baseball facility upgrades until after completion of a task
force study of baseball needs in the community. At EdgeBrook Golf course additional cart
paths were added for 2011.
Motion was made and seconded that the proposed CIP 5 year budget be approved a s
modified. Motion carried.
Meeting was adjourned.
