1. Hamer called the meeting to order at 12:07 p.m. Present: George, Lawrence, Chandradhar,
Penny, Patty, Rebecca
2. Adoption of the Agenda - unanimous consent
3. Action on the Dr. Martin Luther King Contest Awards
The committee discussed the essays that they felt were worthy of the awards. The
following list was agreed upon. Lawrence moved, Penny seconded to approve the
following winners in the appropriate categories. Motion carried.
Essay – Middle School
Kashfia Rahman - 1st Place $100.00
Mickelson Middle School – 7th Grade

Kayli Oetken - 2nd Place $50.00
Mickelson Middle School – 8th Grade

Brookings High School – 9th Grade

would be leaving Brookings this spring.
