Present: Steve Bayer, Ann Marie Bahr, Chandradhar Dwivedi, George Hamer, Angela Hatton,
Lawrence Novotny, Jay Vargas, and Shari Thornes (city)
Not Present: Patty Bacon, Penny Hauffe, and Jay Vargas
1. Call to order was voiced at 12:08pm
2. Adoption of the agenda was so moved by Lawrence Novotny, and seconded by Chandradhar
Dwivedi and approved by voice vote.
3. Approval of the minutes was so moved by Angela Hatton, and seconded by George Hamer
and approved by voice vote.
4. Schedule next meeting: Thursday, August 18th at Noon
Project and Issue Updates
5. Budget: FYI handout and discussion/look at what we want to do by looking at past
expenditures
6. Community Common Read - No update, the sub-committee has not met. We need an
event in late October or early November. Make this an August agenda item.
7. State Human Relations Commission Meeting on August 10th – Lawrence will attend and
report at next meeting
8. Fall Diversity Potluck on October 9th. Prepare the old flyer for last use (George). Angela
suggests taking pictures at the fall event to use for Spring flyer. Advertising will be finalized at
August meeting. Lawrence will reserve the date and try to lock in future dates.
9. Invite New SDSU Director of Diversity to future meeting. Invite to August meeting.

11. Adjournment was voiced at 12:45pm.
