Jones called the Hospital Board of Trustee Meeting to order at 5:07 p.m.
Executive Session
A motion by McKnight/Faltemier to move into Executive Session at 5:08 p.m. citing SDCL 1-25-
2(4), Contract Negotiations. Those present: Jim Booher, Arne Brown (arrived at 5:15 p.m.), Sandra
Faltemier, Rob Jones, Teresa McKnight, Julie Whaley, Zeno W. Wicks, III and Deb Davis. Executive
session ended at 5:27 p.m.
A recommendation from the Finance Committee (Wicks/Brown) to accept the counter-offer by Minor of
$7.50 per square foot based on the county records showing the square footage of 80,028 square feet.
Whaley/McKnight amendment to motion to include hospital attorney draw up the purchase agreement
and one of the Finance Committee members deliver the paperwork to Minor as soon as possible.
Vote on the amendment: Jim Booher (opposed), Arne Brown (support), Sandra Faltemier (support), Rob
Jones (support), Teresa McKnight (support), Julie Whaley (support), Zeno W. Wicks, III (support).
Amended motion carried.
Vote on the main motion: Jim Booher (support), Arne Brown (support), Sandra Faltemier (support), Rob
Jones (support), Teresa McKnight (support), Julie Whaley (support), Zeno W. Wicks, III (support). Main
motion carried.
A motion by McKnight/Faltemier to move into Executive Session at 5:47 p.m. citing SDCL 1-25-
2(1), Personnel. Those present: Jim Booher, Arne Brown, Sandra Faltemier, Rob Jones, Teresa
McKnight, Julie Whaley, Zeno W. Wicks, III and Deb Davis. Executive session ended at 5:54 p.m.
Meeting concluded at 6:18 p.m. (Wicks/Brown).
