Chairperson Olson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on May 11,, 2009 in Conference
Room A & B at the hospital.
Reference calls were done on the seven finalists (Branco, Detterman, Failing, Harff,
Oberg, Rencher, Smith). Verbal reports were given from those search committee
members involved in the reference calls. Two of the candidates were dropped from the
pool prior to voting (Detterman and Rencher). Five finalists are Branco, Harff, Failing,
Oberg and Smith). The committee decided to bring the top three to campus – Branco,
Harff and Failing. NOTE: Waltz contacted the candidates and Failing had been offered,
and accepted another job, leaving two candidates that would come to BHS and interview.
Meeting concluded at 8:37 p.m.
