February 21st, 2013
OFFICIAL MINUTES
Robert McGrath called the Board of Health meeting to order on Thursday, February
21st, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Committee Members present: Paul Irwin, Pat Lyons, Robert McGrath, Jesse Ronning,
Trish Matson-Buus and Shari Landmark
.
Committee Members absent: Dr. Merritt Warren, Roberta Wagner and Dennis Falken
Others present: Todd Langland, Gwen Madsen
I. Approval of Minutes: (Matson-Buus/Lyons) Motion to approve minutes for the
November 29th, 2012 meeting.
All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
II. Additions to agenda: None
III. Approve Agenda: (Ronning/Irwin) Motion to approve agenda.
All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
IV. 2012 Year End Numbers: The Landfill had a yearend balance of $200,000 and
the Collection had a balance of $180,000.
V. Collection Recap: Curbside recycling is up 4% from 2011.
VI. Recycling Cart Update/Route Changes: The delivery of 2700 recycling carts is
set for February 27th. The cost per cart is $57.00. We have requested the remainder of
the funding to purchase an additional 480 carts. The garbage and recycling routes will
change on April 1st. Discussion was held on the idea of using a QR Code on the
recycling carts, web site and paper.
VII. Annual Report: (Lyons/McGrath) Motion to approve the 2012 Annual Report.
All present voted aye. MOTION CARRIED.
