ORDINANCE NO. 1-97
AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO A FRATERNITY/SORORITY AS A CONDITIONAL USE
IN THE RESIDENCE R-2 DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT ARTICLE IV AND VII, CHAPTER 50, THE 1994 REVISED
ZONING ORDINANCE SHALL BE AMENDED, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 50.09.000. RESIDENCE R-2 T'WO-FAMILY
50.09.050
Conditional Uses:
13. Fraternity/Sorority
II.
Section 50.90.000. CONDITIONAL USE STANDARDS
50.90.212
Fraternity/Sorority: Such uses sha11 not be located in an area where they could have a negative
impact on adjacent properties due to their size or the traffic generated from such use. The
parking area sha11 be regulated according to Section 50.70.352 Hardsurfaced Parking; and Section
50.70.356 Screened Parking.
III.
ALL ORDINANCES or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
