AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE SUPPLEMENTING THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AS MADE FOR THE YEAR 1998 BY ORDINANCE NO.
30-97 AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. WHEREAS, by the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 1998,
Ordinance No. 30-97 appropriating revenue for the operation of the municipal government for
the year 1998, sufficient revenue was not provided to enable the municipality to conduct the
indispensable functions of the government of said City.
Section 2. THERE IS HEREBY appropriated for the purpose of maintaining and
operating the City of Brookings, additional sums for the following funds:
General Fund

101404542305 Disability Committee $ 160.00
101417591000 General Government Bldgs $ 20,000.00
101417592000 General Government Bldgs $ 2,500.00

101422592000 Fire $ 3,500.00
$ 180,660.00
Section 3. ALL ORDINANCES or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
