AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
BROOKINGS PERTAINING TO ACCESS DRIVES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BROOKINGS,
SOUTH DAKOTA, THAT ARTICLE VII. GENERAL REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 50, THE
1994 REVISED ZONING ORDINANCE SHALL BE AMENDED, AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
I.
Section 50.70.6000 Access Drives
B. Residential Districts
4. The width of a driveway which leads directly to a garage from the property line or
sidewalk onto the property may be the same width as the garage and may be
extended into the yard area between the driveway and nearest side lot line a
distance not exceeding twelve feet(12'). Driveways shall not exceed thirty-six
feet(36') in width. Where no garage exists,the driveway may be up to twenty-
four feet(24') in width.
II.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
